In the past year the Fortschrittskolleg “Online-Partizipation” has performed a survey in 396 cities and communities as well as the 31 districts of North Rhine-Westphalia. The survey was designed explore how many cities and communities already use online-participation procedures. It was successfully completetd last month. A total of 90% of the cities, communities and districts of North Rhine-Westphalia participated in the survey.
First results show that at least one third of the communities have used online-based participation methods in the last five years. Further results will be published in the near future. For more information, see the German article.
